Camp Experience Manager

Kinglake West, Australia

Who We Are

We live and breathe cutting edge hardtop camping and introduction to outdoor experiences and their ability to reset minds, grow resilience and nurture well-being. Every young person who comes through Kinglake Adventure Camp (KFAC) not only creates lasting memories, but also leaves with a new found optimism and new life skills for whatever their future brings.

Facilitators stay with only one group throughout and have the opportunity to build engagement around behavioural development, and guide young people, according to year level and context, as they take on learning experiences. Every KFAC experience builds on what students are learning at school, so that the classroom and camp intentions are all in sync.

From meditating deep in the forest scaling high ropes challenges, there’s an inner and outer journey that takes place within KFAC experiences.

Our Experience Manager is at the heart of what we do. You will orchestrate the bringing together of many functions to deliver effective experiential learning (EL) programs.

Doing this effectively means bringing our ELDesign, ELDelivery and ELCrewDevelopmentPathways to life!

It's a step up from Program Coordinator roles as it oversees and coordinates across all components of delivery and related operations. From mentoring facilitators to client relations and ensuring operating procedures, no two days are the same! You will also overlap with our Journey Experience Manager where expeds and cultural immersion travel has overlapping resources with camp. If you are a General manager in waiting, it's a great next step.

You will report to the General Manager and will work closely with the Business Development team, the HR/Culture Manager, the Program Directors and of course our customers - not all of which are schools.

Oh, and we are a BCorp certified organisation which means we have our environment, social (including staff) and governance practices independently accredited. We are the first in the camps and activity provider space to have this accreditation.
